So thanks for the reviews. And finally, I have time to add a few songs that have stuck with me this year.

First, even though the album came out Nov. of '09, it was really this year that I enjoyed Carrie Underwood's song, "Temporary Home."

Next, I wanted to mention "North Ohio" by Grayson Hugh from his new album, American Record which I think is his first album since '92. The album of that year was his 2nd and reached the top 10, I think. Many of us have watched the music industry do some very strange things over the years and whether bad economy hit, or whatever, they dropped him. How do you go from top 10 to nothing? Though not in the style of some of his earlier successful songs like "Bring It All Back," "Talk It Over," and "Soul Cat Girl," I am totally taken with his new song "North Ohio." from the folksy sound to the perfect lyrics for example:
"I watched the last blue stars of the fireflies flashing"
I wish him well.

And finally, I've been exploring the music of Ra Ra Riot. It seems their most popular song of the year is "Boy." But I'm finding "You and I Know" very interesting as well. I'm loving what they are doing with a modern alternative sound even though they use violin and cello (which makes me love them right off the bat and reminds me of one of my most cherished groups - Jump, Little Children).Epoemhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10122653173151202281noreply@blogger.com
